A Community Shows Support for Individuals with Developmental Dsiabilties
Anne Grady Services hosted their 5th annual Coffee 4 a Cause event on April 16th, 2026. The nonprofit organization providing dignity, respect, and quality services to children and adults with developmental disabilities invited the community to join them for a morning of networking and togetherness. It truly takes a village to support individuals with the opportunities they need to lead fulfilling lives.
At the event, Shelby Mallory, Development Manager at Anne Grady Services spoke on the importance of Anne Grady’s mission and the impact that community partnerships, volunteers, and donations make for organizations like Anne Grady Services. Spreading awareness about inclusion and advocacy were a large part of her message.
Anne Grady Services also prioritized honoring long term staff, including Dr. Joe Kovesdi, who has dedicated close to 30 years ensuring good mental health for individuals with developmental disabilities. Other guests of honor included former Anne Grady CEO Roger Fortener, and Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz who presented AGS with a proclamation.
Ashley Runals, Imagination Station Development and Volunteer Specialist took the stage to speak on the importance of community inclusion. She has enjoyed her time working with individuals from AGS who volunteer at Imagination Station. Ashley encouraged community businesses and organizations to hire individuals with developmental disabilities, especially in forward facing roles.
Coffee 4 a Cause has continued to grow each year, which means the possibilities and opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities expands too, which is the heart of the mission.
