Anne Grady Services Attends Rec Jam 

Hosted by Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilites

Individuals from some of Anne Grady Service’s  supported living facilities had the opportunity to attend the Rec Jam hosted by the Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities at Tamoshanter in Sylvania. Inclusive opportunities for developmental disabilities in the community are vital.

The event is specifically created to provide an opportunity for people in the DD community to mingle and interact in a quality environment. The event has free entry and “The lights are low, the music is pumping, and the dance floor is yours… move, groove, and let the energy take over! Rec Jam is your chance to celebrate, connect, and let loose in a fun, inclusive space for adults 18 and older. Bring your boldest moves, your brightest style, and your biggest party energy- this night is all about fun, freedom, and full-on hype,” according to the Lucas County Board of DD website.

Many individuals at Anne Grady enjoy the respect they receive from their peers in such a relaxed environment. Interacting with individuals from across the county allowing quality connections and friendships to be made on and off the dance floor.

AGS embraces this atmosphere and will continue attending Rec Jam and other events like it hosted by The Lucas County Board of DD.
