Property Maintenance
Overview
Anne Grady Services is seeking a dependable and skilled Property Maintenance Worker I to support the upkeep and safe operation of our facilities. This role is vital to ensuring a safe, functional, and welcoming environment across all Anne Grady locations. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with general maintenance experience and a passion for supporting individuals and staff in a care-focused setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform painting and basic carpentry repairs (doors, locks, cabinets, furniture, etc.).
- Conduct basic servicing and repairs of heating/cooling units.
- Diagnose and repair plumbing systems including toilets, sewer lines, and water lines.
- Maintain and repair small electrical appliances, outlets, motors, and light fixtures.
- Assist with groundskeeping duties including snow removal as needed.
- Use basic computer and mobile phone technology to manage work orders and document work.
- Participate in a 24-hour on-call rotation, including availability for unscheduled hours, holidays, and days off.
- Collaborate professionally with department managers, staff, and volunteers.
- Uphold all policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least one (1) year of experience in commercial building maintenance.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
- Basic carpentry skills and experience using power tools.
- Ability to diagnose and perform small engine repairs.
- Competence in basic plumbing, electrical repair, and HVAC servicing.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor (push, pull, bend, stoop, sit) for extended periods.
- Ability to work independently and under adverse weather conditions.
