Courageous Community Services is seeking a Camp Activities Coordinator to plan and lead engaging recreational and therapeutic activities for children and adults with disabilities at Courageous Acres.
This seasonal role is ideal for college students or individuals pursuing education, recreation, therapy, social work, or related fields who want hands-on experience in inclusive programming.
What You’ll Do
- Plan and lead developmentally appropriate recreational and therapeutic activities
- Design inclusive programs that support participation for individuals of all abilities
- Collaborate with camp leadership and counselors to implement daily programming
- Engage directly with campers and staff during activities and outings
- Prepare materials and supplies for scheduled activities
- Provide supervision and support to campers and counselors during programs
- Document incidents and communicate clearly with supervisors as required
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Education or experience in recreation, education, therapy, or working with individuals with disabilities preferred
- Ability to pass an FBI/BCI background check
