Building Alliances to Bring More Opportunities to individuals with developmental Disabilities.

Anne Grady services has recently made an alliance with Courageous community services to continue to and enhance the quality, dignity, and respect afforded to our individuals. AGS has been working with those who have developmental disabilities, whether they are physical, mental or both, for over 44 years.  CCS has been in operation for 63 years. With this alliance we now have a collective 107 years of experience working with and taking care of those with DD. 

CCS has a variety of Programs itself, but primarily offers its Summer Camp program and its Day Services program. The Summer Camp program offers 10 weeks of summer camp for adults 18+ and 2 weeks of program for kids 5-19. During the kid’s weeks of operations, CCS offers a Peer Buddies option where parents can enroll their children without DD to partner with individuals with disabilities as friends and mentors during camp. In addition, the Summer Camp Program has a theme every year and for 2026 the theme is Super heroes, so be ready to see some rising heroes out there this year.

AGS provides services to over 350 individuals, a staff of over 470, a base ICF facility as well as 8 homes out in the community providing various levels of care for those with DD. In addition AGS has a day program facility where we offer leisure activities for our individuals and our trades program where we offer leisure and vocational activities. Both facilities host various parties and activities during holidays as well. In 2026 we had our 5th annual Black history month celebration at our day program. Also hosting a variety of parties for our individuals including most recently during St. Patrick’s Day a river dancing team from the area performed for our individuals. 

Combining both programs will provide new access for individuals to both organizations programs and strengthen the connection that both organizations have with the community. New horizons will be possible with this alliance and we are excited for the journey to come.
